Three female surfers who call themselves "The Three Wise Women Of The Point" heading out to surf at some beach somewhere, but not at San Onofre Beach because everyone knows that there is no point at San Onofre.
If it were San Onofre, then it would not make sense to say it was a point, but rather, it would be The Three Wise Women Of The Point going out to surf at San Onofre where everyone knows that there is no point, but would that then be a slur suggesting that they were not wise women because there is no point?
It makes me think of what Rick said in the movie Casablanca. Captain Renault: What in heaven's name brought you to Casablanca? Rick: My health. I came to Casablanca for the waters. Captain Renault: The waters? What waters? We're in the desert. Rick: I was misinformed.
This makes me think that The Three Wise Women Of The Point, if the point they are referring to is at San Onofre, may have been misinformed.
